Exposures

The biggest problem with my project is even lighting.  In most of my studio work I tend to enjoy very high contrast with lots of deep shadows.  This does not lend its self very well to photographing stereotypical portraits.  I find myself constantly reminding myself of this while in the studio.  I find that I am constantly readjusting and resetting strobes because of this.  This is something I must work on.

Printers can be a pain

The work I've been producing lately has been quite lovely.  Finishing it is another problem all together.  Image Print is down for the time being.  This makes printing slow, expensive due to all the wasted prints using the epson drivers and agonizing in general.  I guess I will just keep my nose to the grindstone.

Shoot With Nick

For my first session this semester I wanted to work with someone I was comfortable with for a couple of reasons.  A it's a nice way to warm up and flex my muscles and B I do not have to overcome any awkwardness in the studio.  So I invited my brother to come and sit for me.  Nick, being an actor, is very easy to work with in a studio.  He is very open and always willing to do what I ask of him.  Here is a selection of some of the great shots I got tonight.
